THE MONTH-END FIELD GUIDE

How to reconcile Stripe payouts with your bank (with CSV)

A Stripe payout combines activity into a net transfer. Compare the payout to the deposit, then use its underlying rows to understand fees, refunds and differences.

1. Export the itemized report

In Stripe’s Dashboard, open Reports and the payout reconciliation report. Select the period and download the itemized CSV. Include the payout ID, date, currency, gross, fee and net columns. For automatic payouts, the report links balance activity to the payout. Manual payouts may not provide that allocation.

2. Export the bank CSV

Choose the same month and include the following week so delayed deposits are visible. Keep date, description, amount and currency columns. Avoid converting currencies in the source file.

3. Compare payouts and deposits

Open PayoutLens and drop the two files. Map the bank columns, review your date format and choose the month. Matching uses currency, amount, timing and payout references. Review confidence and source rows before accepting a proposed match.

4. Investigate differences

Check for delayed transfers, missing export rows, bank fees, split deposits or a different settlement currency. A matching total does not prove that your source export is complete. Keep the original report and independent payout total.
