Wise statement CSV explained

A Wise balance statement describes money moving through a currency balance. Treat incoming amounts as account movements until the source documents establish what they represent.

1. Export a balance statement

In Wise, select the currency balance and download a statement for the required date range in CSV format. Use the balance statement rather than a transfer-history list. Include dates, amounts, currency, fees and running balance where available.

2. Keep each currency separate

PayoutLens preserves currency and uses integer minor units. It does not combine USD, EUR, JPY or other balances into one revenue total. Home-currency conversion is not included in this release.

3. Check the running balance

Where the CSV includes a balance, compare the previous running balance plus the current amount with the new balance. An inconsistency may indicate a missing row, a truncated file or unexpected ordering. Inspect the original statement before deciding the cause.

4. Review any transfer match

Wise movements are not automatically revenue. Proposed matches to external bank deposits need review because both files may represent different account legs. Match only when amount, currency, dates and references support the same transfer.
