Your financial files stay on your device.
PayoutLens does not upload, store or receive your CSV files or reconciliation results.
What happens to a file
Your browser reads the CSV using the File API. A local Web Worker parses rows, normalizes amounts, matches payouts and builds reports. The worker runs on your computer. Downloaded CSV and Excel files are created in memory using Blob URLs.
Financial data stays in memory for this session. Refreshing or closing the tab clears the workspace. We do not currently save client workspaces. Download reports you need before closing.
What the server receives
Cloudflare hosts the application and receives normal web requests, including IP address, browser information and requested URLs, to serve and protect the site. Selecting files does not send their names, contents, amounts or counterparties to Cloudflare or PayoutLens.
When billing is enabled, Stripe processes payment and billing information. Our API exchanges your checkout session or license key for a plan entitlement and opens the billing portal. It does not accept financial CSV data. Stripe customer metadata stores your PayoutLens license and plan; there is no PayoutLens account database.
Local storage and analytics
The browser stores only your license key, signed entitlement and renewal dates in localStorage. Treat the key as private. Removing site data clears it; keep a copy before doing so. No third-party analytics is enabled in this release.
Offline use
Once the workspace and its processing code have loaded, reconciliation and CSV exports run without a network connection. Loading another page, loading sample files, or downloading the Excel module for the first time may need a connection. License validation and billing always require a connection; a previously validated license has a limited offline grace period.
Your choices
Use the free tool without signing up. Remove files from the workspace or close the tab to clear session data. Download reports only to devices you trust. If you purchase a plan, billing support details are included on your Stripe receipt.
